The tensile strength of ST42 Carbon Steel Pipe shall not be less than 42kgf/mm2, which is 420MPa.
ST42 Carbon Steel Pipe is a German standard seamless steel pipe, which is widely used. German standard seamless steel pipes for general purposes are rolled from ordinary carbon structural steel, low alloy structural steel or alloy structural steel, with the largest output, and are mainly used as pipes or structural parts for fluid transportation .
According to different uses, it can be supplied in three categories: a. according to chemical composition and mechanical properties; b. Supply according to mechanical properties; c. Supplied as per hydrostatic test. The steel pipes supplied according to class a and b shall also undergo hydrostatic test if they are used to withstand liquid pressure. 3. Seamless tubes for special purposes include boiler seamless tubes, chemical and electric power seamless tubes, German standard seamless tubes for geology and seamless tubes for petroleum.
The German standard seamless steel pipe has a hollow section, and is widely used as a pipeline for conveying fluids, such as oil, natural gas, gas, water and some solid materials. Compared with solid steels such as round steel, steel tubes are light in weight when their bending and torsional strength are the same, so they are a kind of steel with economic section.
