Hot-Rolled Carbon Steel Coil: Using steel billets as raw materials, it is rolled after high-temperature heating (980~1100℃) and then coiled into shape. Hot-rolled carbon steel coil has high strength and good toughness, with scale on the surface and slightly low appearance accuracy. Cold-Rolled Carbon Steel Coil: Using hot-rolled coils as raw materials, it is rolled at room temperature without high-temperature heating. II. Production Process of Carbon Steel Coil: Precision Transformation from Steel Billet to Coil
The production of carbon steel coil is a set of precision system engineering. The core process revolves around "billet processing - rolling - coiling - finishing". Taking hot-rolled carbon steel coil as an example, its core production steps are as follows:

Billet Preparation: Select square steel billets, stack them in a "well" shape, arrange them in the order of furnace charging, and check the surface quality of the billets at the same time. Perform grinding and peeling treatments to remove surface defects. Among them, the billets of cold heading steel grades also need to be chamfered and ground.

Heating Treatment: Send the steel billets into the heating furnace. The temperature of the heating section is controlled at 980~1050℃, the temperature of the soaking section is controlled at 1020~1100℃, and the heating time does not exceed 3 hours; for Cr steel and CrMo series cold heading steel grades, low-temperature rolling is adopted, the temperature of the preheating section is lower than 800℃, and the temperature of the soaking section is 950~1100℃.

Descaling Treatment: Adopt high-pressure water descaling process with water pressure not less than 18MPa to remove the scale on the surface of the steel billet, so as to avoid the scale affecting the subsequent rolling quality.

Pass Rolling: Pass through rough rolling, first intermediate rolling, pre-finish rolling, second intermediate rolling and three compact rolling mills in turn to gradually roll the steel billet from coarse to fine. The elongation coefficient of each pass is controlled at 1.02~1.45, the spread coefficient is 0.25~0.7, and the running speed of the steel billet is gradually increased from 1.9m/s to 20m/s, and finally rolled into a semi-finished product with a circular cross-section.

Finishing and Shearing: Use flying shears to cut off the irregular heads and tails of the steel bars during the rolling process to ensure uniform product size.

Coiling Forming: Use a coiler to coil the rolled steel into a disc shape. The coiling temperature is controlled at 850~920℃. Some products need to add water-through cooling process to ensure stable coiling temperature.

Controlled Cooling and Inspection: Control the cooling speed of the product through water quenching, air cooling, heat preservation and slow cooling to ensure stable mechanical properties; finally, conduct strict quality inspection, and package and put it into storage after passing the inspection.
